NOTICE TO CONTRIBUTORS The Sophie Journal is a refereed Journal. Submissions are welcomed from undergraduate and graduate students, as well as all other interested scholars. Submissions may be made in English or German, but German articles must be written at a native language level. The editors are interested in articles which present fresh perspectives on and insights into the art, literature, lives and experience of early German-speaking women, up through the year 1939. A hard copy (no E-mail attachments, please) of manuscripts for review should be sent both to the Editor and to the Associate editor. Manuscripts are to be prepared for anonymous review, with information identifying the author available only on the cover letter, not on the manuscript itself, and should follow the Sixth Edition of the MLA Handbook. Accepted articles must be available in disk form. The disk should be labeled with the name of the author, the title of the article, and the computer program used. Disks should be IBM compatible– no Macintosh programming. Please see our contact page for mailing addresses and contact information.
